A Fall Survey

by Matt on October 3, 2012

October? Where did you come from?

I hope everyone is having a great start to the new month!  Since it’s October, I figured I would join in on the fun fall survey that I saw on Ashley’s blog. Here we go!

Apple picking or pumpkin picking?

I’ve always wanted to go apple picking! Someone go with me! We need some honeycrisps up in here.

Apples

I will admit that I do have plans to go to a pumpkin patch later this month. You can’t beat a $7 groupon for a free pumpkin and a cheesy hayride. Am I right?

Favorite apple recipe?

Does apple slices dipped in peanut butter count? Ok, maybe not. I’ll have to go with warm apple crisp right out of the oven.

(Recipe linked above is stellar)

Favorite pumpkin recipe

I’ve mentioned this before, but I’m not the biggest pumpkin fan, unless it’s in something and well disguised. I mean, I like it, but it’s not my favorite thing in the world.

Pumpkin pancakes come to mind…

Pumpkin Pancakes

Favorite soup recipe

Black bean soup! Panera makes the best.

Football: on TV or in the stadium?

It depends on the weather. If it’s below 45, I would much rather watch the game on the couch in my PJ’s. If it’s a nice day, that’s a whole different story!

Favorite football team to cheer for?

Alabama. DUH.

RMFT

Daylight savings time: Love it or hate it?

Love it. Most people think I’m crazy.

How do your workouts change during the fall months?

They don’t really change that much. It doesn’t get cold enough in Texas for me to make any big changes.

Any fashion essentials for fall weather?

Not really, except for hoodies. I live in those during the colder months.

No your meals change when the weather changes?

Yep! I eat a lot more oatmeal and sweet potatoes. My lunches stay the same, but dinners always involve something being roasted.

I also eat a lot of these!

Crackers

Favorite fall dessert?

Hmmm…

I’d have to go with a warm slice of chocolate chip pumpkin bread with peanut butter.

Best thing about fall?

1. It’s not a million degrees outside. #texasliving

2. Pumpkin spice coffee

Coffee

Worst thing about fall?

Christmas shopping.

Best thing that will happen in Fall of 2012?

I don’t know. It hasn’t happened yet! Maybe I will win the lottery?

Answer one of the above questions in the comments sections!

Definitely with you on chocolate chip pumpkin bread being the best Fall dessert. I was never a fan of pumpkin bread but put chocolate in it and I’m sold. Add almond butter and I get weak in the knees.

I just bought that coffee over the weekend. I think I need to hoard it. I’m not even that big of a pumpkin person, but it’s delicious. It makes me happy.

Hahaha no dissing the pumpkin patch ;) I’m excited! LOL.

I’m obsessed with my hoodies and already miss wearing them. They need to get back in my life ASAP. Always being cold helps with that though haha.

Love daylight savings time….I think it reminds me of the change from summer to fall, which is imperative when you live in a 100 degree climate.

Favorite soupe recipe – crockpot veggie & sweet potato chili (does that count as soup??)! So so good, and so easy.
Pumpkin spice k-cup coffee = one of the best inventions ever. I might have to buy more, and it’s only the first week of October…
