About Me

Welcome to The Athlete’s Plate!

My name is Matt and I’m a 22 year old recent college graduate for the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) trying to live a healthy life through food and fitness.

I recently accepted a job offer in the Dallas area, which is where I currently reside. It’s not the job that I want to be doing for the rest of my life, but it’s a place to gain experience to accomplish my ambitious goals later in life.

I’m a:

You can find me on:

You can contact me here.

The truth is, I was not born with a love for fitness, nor was I born with palate for tasty, healthy, nourishing food.

Over time, I have developed into a completely different person; a person who thrives on fitness, healthy living, and enjoying life as much as humanly possible.

While it took me 21 years to discover who I really am, I have finally discovered that I am an athlete who loves to cook.

Throughout this blog, I hope that I can share my knowledge about food, fitness, and other tidbits about healthy living.

Let’s get started!

Just found your blog via your comment about “not doing anything stupid” when it comes to running on The Broccoli Hut. Just wanted to say hi and that your comment definitely made me laugh. I’ve definitely partaken in my share of stupidity when it comes to doing too much, too soon. Especially when it comes to running.
Anyway, I also love fitness and healthy food! I’ll definitely be visiting your blog often :)

Love your site! Since you’re into running, you should check out the Run Project. A couple of friends of mine just started it–they are professional runners. It’s all about what inspires people to run. They should have their site up soon…you should check it out! Anyway, thanks for sharing about your love for living a healthy life…I’m a fan :)
