Berry Veggie And Naked Juice Giveaway

by Matt on March 22, 2012

Although I don’t have a problem getting in my daily fruits and vegetables, I’m definitely more of a fruit person.

Fruit is something that I eat can all day long, but vegetables are more of a night thing for me. There is nothing more unappetizing for me than munching on raw carrots or broccoli.

OK… I might be exaggerating a little bit, but the truth is, I don’t really like raw vegetables (except for salad). I can pull an apple out of the fridge and start munching away, but there is no way I’d do that with a head of broccoli. However, If I have time to roast it, that’s a completely different story!

I could probably prepare extra the night before, but who has time for that?

With every problem, there’s a solution right?

Enter: Naked Juice Berry Veggie

Vegetable servings in a bottle. Awesome.

Through my partnership with Naked and its Vote Naked campaign, I had the opportunity to try the Berry Veggie smoothie. It boasts of having a collective two servings of veggies, one serving of fruit, and vitamins A, C, E, B6, B3, B5, B-12 per 15.2 oz bottle. Each bottle contains the juice from:

  • 15 Sweet Cherries
  • 6 1/2 Strawberries
  • 1 1/2 Purple Carrots
  • 1/3 Red Beet
  • 1/8 Sweet Potato
  • 91 Kernels Sweet Corn
  • 18 Chickpeas
  • 1/4 Plum
  • 1/5 Apple

How often can you say that you had a snack made from chickpeas, red beets, and sweet potatoes?

Not very often. Not only is Berry Veggie an easy, portable, no cook way to get in two servings of vegetables, but it also includes vegetables that I don’t normally buy!

The ingredient list is clean and simple without any added preservative or ingredients I can’t pronounce, but that’s something that I can always count on with Naked Juice.

I’m also happy to report that this drink tastes like a fruit smoothie! It was more tart than sweet, but it definitely had that certain goodness that I always get from Naked Juice.

Berry Veggie is a great example of how Naked Juice uses the goodness of vegetables to help you live a healthy lifestyle. If you want to try it for yourself, leave a comment telling me your favorite ingredient in the above smoothie. I’ll pick a winner on Sunday to win three coupons for a free 15.2 oz Naked Juice smoothie.

Are you a fruit or vegetable person?

If you want to try one for yourself, make sure you head over to the Naked Juice Facebook page and Vote Naked to download a $1 off coupon!

Made me think of you having me taste test the raw carrots at Thanksgiving because you didn’t want to eat them raw LOL ;) I don’t mind raw carrots or peas in a pod or a few others, but I’ll always be a fruit person. LOVE my apples!

I’m more a fruits person than a veggies person, though I can’t eat either raw. My son, though LOVES his fruits, and also loves Naked’s Green Machine juice (the only juice he’ll drink. Otherwise he just drinks water). I’ll definitely have to try this with him. ^^

My fav fruit’s strawberries, and his is blueberries. ^^

The cherries in this drink are what make it so awesome. Tastes better than any of the other fruit/veggie blends out there. Also not as grainy in texture as some of the others. Yum! Definitely one of my new favorites.

Out Of Them ALL, I Think I Would Have To Say “Sweet Potatoe”, Even Though I Could Say Or Think Of Something TRUTHFULLY Wonderful About ALL Of The Ingredients!! (Ex. An Apple A Day),I Mean They Are ALL Healthy & GOOD 4 You! I Have Tried Almost ALL Of The Naked Juice Varieties, But Have Not Had a Chance To Taste This One! But in My My Own Personal Journey To “Better Health”, I Surely WOULDN’T Mind! Sounds Like A Very Interesting Combination.

I haven’t really been eating much in the way of vegetables lately, save for whatever dinner vegetable I cook, or saute in scrambled eggs, or puree in a smoothie. I admit to liking fruit more, though. I just don’t have vegetables on the brain!

I am not really a juice person at all, but would be interested in trying this just because the ingredients list is so interesting. Especially the sweet potatoes!
I LOVE veggies and could munch on them all day long. I like fruit too but for some reason am never in the mood for it anytime after dinner. It’s like as soon as I eat dinner, all I want to eat afterwards if I do have anything is dairy and carbs, haha.
