Boo… Sore Throat

by Matt on November 29, 2012

Unfortunately, I woke up with a sore throat this morning :(

I think the constant changing of the weather is messing with my system. I feel OK, but my glands are swollen and my throat is really itchy/dry. Hopefully this is just a small cold and will pass quickly!

Whenever I’m sick, I always have oatmeal for breakfast. It feels so good on a scratchy throat!

20121129-103114.jpgI like my oatmeal nice and simple. I always cook it in milk (I used unsweetened vanilla hemp this morning). Then, I always a sliced banana, ground flax seeds, and some sort of nut or nutter butter.

I didn’t really have much of an appetite, but this breakfast hit the spot!

Have you ever tried hemp milk?

I know a lot of people can’t stomach it, but I love the stuff!

20121129-104145.jpg It’s really rich, so I can only handle so much at a time. I’ll usually buy it once or twice a month as an alternative to almond milk or coconut milk.

And now I’m drinking one of these…

I don’t even like milk that much because I think it’s too thick and nasty. I doubt I could drink that……I pretty much just stick to water, black coffee, and wine. That’s all a girl needs in life:-)

Hope you feel better!

I can barely even stomach milk, so I doubt I’d be able to try that stuff. I mostly stick to just water, black coffee, and wine. That’s all a girl needs in life :-)

Hope you feel better!

Feel better! I had a sore throat for about a week last week, and I took Zinc everyday – I swear that was key. Try it! I’ve never tried hemp milk before. I just love my almond milk too much.

I have only tried almond milk which works well for me because I cannot stand regular milk.

Hope you get to feeling better soon, being sick is no fun at all!
