This week, we have Anne!

Anne P

I actually started reading Anne’s blog the day after Fitbloggin’.

She was so cool in person that I knew we had to stay connected!

Don’t we just look like we are having so much fun?

Anyways, Anne is awesome. Right now, she’s studying to be an RD (which is actually something I wanted to do for awhile). I like her blog because it’s not super serious and she shows us healthy living with a fun twist.

Go check her blog out!

What is the name of your blog and how does it describe you?

My blog name is fANNEtastic food! I wanted to show that eating healthy and staying active can (and should!) be fun and my name is Anne, so I picked a silly pun blog name to try to show that. My blog motto? “Come for the recipes, stay for the fun.” Come say hello! :)

How long have you been blogging?

I’ve been blogging for just over 2 years. Time flies!

How many hours a day do you devote to blogging?

I would say around 2 or 3 hours per day on average, including writing posts, responding to comments and emails, checking in on Twitter and Facebook, freelance projects, etc. Sometimes less, sometimes more!

What helped influence your decision to start blogging and the subjects you blog about?

When I started my blog, I’d been reading food and fitness blogs for awhile and had just decided to leave my office job and start prerequisites to head back to graduate school to become a Registered Dietitian (RD). I wanted to inspire others to lead happier, healthier lives through nutrition and fitness, and I figured that starting a blog was the perfect way to begin doing that before I was officially an RD! My blog content changes day to day — I share simple healthy recipes, quick and easy health tips, packed lunch ideas, fitness motivation, and day-to-day and travel-related adventures, too! I also train for running races pretty frequently so I like including things like myhalf marathon training plans and training run recaps, too.

As a blogger, what mistakes have you made and what did you learn from them?

Hmmmm… good question! I’m not really sure if I’ve made any major mistakes content-wise (at least I hope!), but I’ve definitely made some technical mistakes which involved my blog going down or all of a sudden looking very strange. Technology can be rather panic inducing sometimes. ;)

What is the most valuable thing that you have gotten out of your blog?

It’s amazing to hear that I’ve helped others to start eating healthier, to lose weight, or to run a race for the first time. Another unexpected side effect of blogging has been all the wonderful friendships I’ve made with other bloggers and readers! Blogging is such a fun way to meet like-minded individuals and I’ve made some really good friends over the past 2 years.

If you could describe your blog in one word, what would it be?

Inspiring. (I hope!) Or maybe: Fun. :)

Where do you see your blog in 6 months? 1 year?

Hopefully the same place where I am now! Providing inspiration to others and enjoying sharing how fun a balanced lifestyle can be.

Has it been worth it?

I wouldn’t still be here if it wasn’t! :)

Is there anything else you want us to know?

Hmmmm. Mud runs are really fun. If you haven’t done one yet – you should. ;)

Thanks Anne!

Anne’s blog is definitely fun. Hers was actually one of the first ones I started reading that led me to the vast world of healthy living and food blogs and inspired me to get my stuff together eating and exercising wise.
