Next up, we have someone who can get in your tummy!
Everyone say hello!
What is the name of your blog and how does it describe you?
My blog is called In My Tummy. The name really doesn’t fit my blog. When I first started blogging, I thought that I was going to be one of those blog every meal bloggers so I came up with the name. I quickly realized that for one, I’m not patient enough to take a picture of everything I eat and two, most of my meals are pretty repetitive and sometimes in ugly tupperware. I didn’t want to deal with changing the blog name, so I added an “and on my mind” to the blog name. How long have you been blogging?
A little over three years at In My Tummy. I also had a different blog for about a year before that.
How many hours a day do you devote to blogging?
I spend less than an hour a day actually writing blog posts but I probably spend more time reading and commenting on other blogs.
What helped influence your decision to start blogging and the subjects you blog about?
As I mentioned before, I had a different blog before In My Tummy. That was a marathon training blog. After I ran the marathon in 2007, I realized that I really liked blogging but my life wasn’t all about running anymore so I started a new blog. I mostly write about my life and cooking, being healthy and running are a big part of it.
As a blogger, what mistakes have you made and what did you learn from them?
I used to cram my entire day into each blog post. My posts would just be a long ramble of “I did this” and then “I did that” and didn’t really have any direction or flow. I realized that I do best posting about one thing in each post and not every single thing that I do or eat needs to go on the blog.
What is the most valuable thing that you have gotten out of your blog?
I know that everyone says that’s it’s the community, but it’s true! Most of my “real life” friends really aren’t into the whole healthy living thing and it’s really nice to have blog friends who have similar interests.
If you could describe your blog in one word, what would it be?
Coolio. Just because I like to say Coolio.
Where do you see your blog in 6 months? 1 year?
I assume I’ll still be writing about the same sort of thing. Hopefully with more readers!
Has it been worth it?
Of course. If I didn’t like blogging, I wouldn’t do it.
Is there anything else you want us to know?
Umm, I have an obsession with hummus and a really cute dog?
Does anyone have any questions for Lee?

Awesome guest post! I think our blogs grow with us, and a name can’t necessarily define it forever… glad you decided to branch out and write about what’s important to you!

Lee I started blogging last year and about 2 months ago I changed my blog name because it didn’t fit me — I think we all change and grow as time goes on, so why not change or adjust (as you did) your name. Makes sense to me.
I agree that the community feeling is wonderful!

We change over time and our blogs reflect that change, so I think it’s pretty normal for a blog name to no longer apply to the person we’re constantly becoming. I would have started blogging a lot earlier, but it took me forever to come up with a name, so I hope it lasts me a little while lol. For what it’s worth, though, I think the blog name is adorable
