Man, it’s been an interesting week.
I’m finally starting to feel back to normal. I felt like death on Sunday, a bit better Monday, decent Tuesday and Wednesday, and today I feel about 90%. I think I’ll be fully operational by the weekend.
Unfortunately, my body decided to get an eye infection on Tuesday. I guess you can just add that to the list of things my body needs to fight off. I actually haven’t had an eye infection since high school, but back in the day, I used to get them about once a month. I was on a first name basis with my eye doctor because I was there so often. It was always my right eye. Always.
And it’s my right eye again. Surprise surprise! I went to a local eye doctor on Tuesday to get some eye drops, so hopefully it will clear up within a few days, but from experience, it will probably take about week. I always seem to get these infections immediately after being sick. I don’t get sick often, but when I do, it hits me pretty hard. I’m assuming that my eyes are weaker part of my body and are more susceptible to infection when my immune system is lower.
New rule: Don’t get sick.
It probably didn’t help that I ran everyday while being sick. Stubbornness at it’s finest! In all honestly though, I know that it helped. Whenever I feel under the weather, I make an effort to get in some easy exercise, eat well, drink plenty of water, and try to sleep more.
Speaking of eating well, dinner tonight was a prime example!
Grilled Cod, baked sweet potato with cinnamon, roasted broccoli and carrots
And now it’s time to lay on the couch and play video games
