Woo! Fitbloggin’ is here!

After a short two hour flight yesterday, I landed in Baltimore. The conference didn’t technically start until today, but I’m glad I came last night to meet everyone and break the ice. This is my first blogging conference, so I was actually a little nervous. After chatting with other bloggers for awhile, I realized that everyone is exactly the same as they are online. They talk the same. The act the same. It’s so insane.
Five minutes after getting off the plane, I found Jenn!

Thanks for waiting for me buddy
After hanging out at the hotel for awhile (getting there was quite an experience with our crazy cab driver), we headed to dinner at Philips Seafood. According to Jenn, these are the best crab cakes in the city. I’m not sure I’ve ever had a real “Maryland” crab cake, so I knew I had to try them for myself.

These were pretty delicious

For dinner, I rolled with the Ahi Tuna.
Ahi Tuna Steak, wasabi & coconut mash, bok choy & soy ginger glaze
This was delicious. It was a little greasy, but it was still a great meal.
After dinner, we headed to the hotel bar for drinks.

We stayed out to late and almost bailed on the 5k this morning! Believe it or not, Jenn actually got my butt out of bed to run. Copious amounts of coffee was consumed…

Pre 5k. Excuse the hair!

Post 5k. All smiles!
Then it was time for breakfast! We took too long to get ready and we missed the Fitbloggin’ sponsored breakfast, so we went to the free breakfast that we are offered for staying on the concierge floor (thanks mom!).

Smoked salmon, we will meet again tomorrow!
Now, I am just hanging with Jenn and Matt waiting for the next session to start.

And I’m off!

So I’m giggling over the fact that your hair looks a hot mess pre 5k and totally fine afterwards.

What a fun time!! I’ve never been to a blogger meet up and I imagine it must be crazy to meet people in real life. It’s a little “celebrity-ish.”
