Meet the newest member of my family!
For the past couple of months, I’ve been toying with the idea of getting a dog. I finally pulled the trigger today and adopted Maddie!
Since I live by myself, it will be nice to have a companion. Sometimes I get lonely, but a roommate is completely out of the question. I haven’t had one since my freshman year of college. It was a complete nightmare. I need some space ya know?
She’s been really really scared for the past couple of hours, but I hope she’ll get used to me fairly quickly.

Congrats! She looks like a sweetheart! It took some time for my pup to get used to her new home, too…but she’s living the life now and loving it. Haha. And I agree; dogs are the best roommate you could ask for!

Oh, my goodness! She is SO cute! I am sure Maddie will adjust quickly. Getting a dog was one of the best decisions I ever made!

She so adorable! My dog is adopted too. He was a Katrina rescue, and though he’s still terrified of water, he’s the best dog ever.

OMG I am totally obsessed right now! I would love to give that cutie a huge hug and then cuddle with her on the couch… in her dog bed… in my bed… ha ha ah! She’s SOOO CUTE!! Makes me want to get a dog too, but I really couldn’t right now – So I guess I will live vicariously through your blog posts about her, lol.
Maddie is ADORABLE. I’m so jealous over here. Would love to have a dog, but I live in a condo in a building that doesn’t allow pets. And believe me, I’m *this close* to moving for the sole reason of wanting a dog! Congrats–she looks like a real cutie!

AH! I’m so jealous! I’m currently living by myself until fall semester and have been trying to convince my parents that I need a dog (preferably a labordoodle). For now, they’re letting our family dog, Sophie — a yorkie, live with me but I need a companion of my own! Anyways, Maddie looks adorable and congrats on pulling the trigger!

Aww, Maddie is adorable! And she’ll warm up to you really quickly…just let her come to you when she’s ready and that trust will last forever. I’m sure the peanut butter treats will help (my black lab LOVED those!
