Naked Juice With Coconut Water (And Giveaway)

by Matt on April 9, 2012

When I was first introduced to Naked Juice, I fell in love with mantra that the company stands for. The whole concept is based around using the best bare naked fruits with no preservatives and no added sugar.  Just “naked.”

I’ve been a Naked Juice fan for quite awhile now and, as you likely know by now, am partnering with them for their “Vote Naked” campaign. But I’ve also developed a love for coconut water over the past few months. After an intense workout, especially in the summer months, there’s nothing that quenches my thirst more than a glass of cold coconut water!

Well, it turns out that my buddies over at Naked Juice actually use coconut water in their reduced calorie smoothies!

I love that these smoothies are made naturally without the use of any artificial sweeteners. The coconut water allows the beverage to retain plenty of flavor, but with less overall calories.

Naked Juice makes two different reduced calorie smoothies with coconut water:

  • Reduced Calorie Peach Guava
  • Reduced Calorie Tropical

The Reduced Calorie Tropical was definitely my favorite of the two, but they were both delicious. It has a very light flavor and texture due to the coconut water, but it’s sweet enough that you would swear that it has added sugar in it.

Nope! With only cherries, mango, orange, passion fruit, apple, coconut water, and a hint of pineapple, it’s a great way to quench your thirst…

For 100 calories per serving.

The only downside is that this flavor makes me want to take a Caribbean vacation. Unfortunately, airfare and hotel are sold separately.

If you want to try it for yourself, leave me a comment telling me which of the two flavors of reduced calorie smoothies that you want to try. I’ll pick a winner on Sunday to win three coupons for a free 15.2 oz Naked Juice smoothie. Also, if you want to try one for yourself, make sure you head over to the Naked Juice Facebook page and Vote Naked to download a $1 off coupon!

Lighten Up!

That sounds great! I’d love to try the reduced calorie tropical. It’s hard to find lower calorie beverages that aren’t just filled with crazy ingredients. As a former Diet Coke addict and current coconut water fan, I can really appreciate this.

Definitely the peach guava! It reminds me of the time I went guava picking when I lived in Hawaii. We had everything guava for months (jam, sorbet, desserts, breakfasts). I haven’t had guavas in forever!

I love that they have reduced calorie options now- I found myself hoarding a single bottle for 3 days at different meals to spread out the calories and sugar (although, it’s natural.) My favorite of the Naked brand is the green machine but the new products sound just as delicious.

I would really like to try the one with coconut water because though I am a naked juice fiend and have complete confidence in their juice selection I have yet to find a coconut water that I can finish, so hopefully the combination will atlast be what I am looking for.
