Is it me or is it almost impossible to get everything done over a two day weekend?
If it were up to me, I’d extend the weekend another day (or two)
The good news is that I was off today! Thank you Presidents day! Like usual, I started my day with a workout. Weekend or not, I always get my sweat session done first thing. I like to have it out of the way so I can focus on getting other things done.
Today consisted of an easy 7.5 mile run and the following circuit workout:
(Send me an email if you need descriptions of any of the exercises)
Then it was breakfast time!
Since I had a little extra time today, I went the savory route. I normally only have a few minutes to shove a bowl of oatmeal down, but I actually had time to make something a little different!
Open faced sandwich with eggs, tomato, and avocado
Eggs and avocado. A match made in heaven.
With breakfast and workout under my belt, I tackled the rest of my to-do list!
- Search for a new apartment
- Clean my current apartment
- Prep a few things for lunches this week
- Watch a movie (relaxing is always built into my schedule)
- Work on a few blog related things (doing this now)
The most exciting part of my day was that I found my new apartment!
My lease is up on this one at the end of April, so I’m planning moving to a new complex for a change of scenery. I like where I am now (except I am having some issues with my neighbor), but I think the new place I found will suit me even better. It’s filled with more people my age instead of families. I think it will be a great place to meet people!
I could actually apply today since I need to get my paystubs from work, so I plan on finalizing everything this week.
Who wants to help me move?
I’ll feed you!

That egg looks PERFECT. Gotta love a little runny-ness!
The apartment definitely looks like a winner and sounds like it will fit you perfectly. Renting is such a great way to be able to try new places and find what you like! I’ll help you move for free

Congrats on finding a new apartment! I would totally help you move if I didn’t live forever away.
Yay on finding a new apartment. At least you are moving now when it is cool. I have lived in three places since moving to Houston 2 years ago and the summer move was brutal!

Love eggs and avocado!! I make a similar breakfast and wrap it up in a gf corn tortilla. The new place sounds great…and meeting new people is a huge plus. Moving is a pain though!!! It’s pretty much the story of my life. I’ve jumped from place to place for several years (different states, different countries), but packing up and moving never gets any easier. I’m actually more slack about unpacking…exhibit A: my bike is still in its box!

. I am moving in April too, but I haven’t even thought about it. I think I will procrastinate until the last week of March! Haha

I had a pretty productive day off as well. I kept busy with errands, cleaning, and cooking. It’s sooooo nice to actually have time to prepare a breakfast and lunch when you actually want to eat it – as opposed to throwing down something fast or eating stuff that was prepped Sunday night.
