This Week

It’s going to be a busy and exciting week for me!

For some reason, I’m in a really good mood today. Monday is typically torture for me, but today hasn’t been that bad. I mean, I had to go to work, but everyone is in “vacation mode,” which means very little work is getting done.

I totally forgot my lunch today, but I’m secretly happy that I did. I took that as a sign that I needed to get out for an hour :)

Lunch

Caprese Panini

I don’t have much else planned for the next few days except:

  • Tennis + dinner with a friend tonight
  • Picking up my car tomorrow (if it’s in, which it should be)
  • Tennis and packing Wednesday night

Let’s hope the next two days fly by!

Since I’m only working three days this week, I’m taking an early morning flight to meet my family in Florida for Thanksgiving. My parents recently purchased a beach house in Santa Rosa Beach, so we decided to just have Thanksgiving there!

Thanksgiving is always a big deal in my family. We always keep holidays on the casual side, but we always celebrate as a family. Always. My girlfriend decided to join us at the last minute, but she is like a member of the family. She celebrated with us last year, so she knows what to expect!

I’m also really looking forward to going to the Iron Bowl this year with my dad (it’s one of the main reasons that we’re going).

Roll Tide!

The game is Saturday afternoon, so we’re leaving early that morning and making the five hour drive to Tuscaloosa. I can’t believe that this will be the first time to visit since I moved away last summer. It feels like it’s been forever, but a lot has happened in that short time. I’m sure a lot of things have changed because the town had to rebuild after the tornado, but Tuscaloosa will always mean a lot to me. It’s honestly my favorite place that I’ve ever lived.

I’ll be landing back in Dallas around lunch time on Sunday. Whew, it’s going to be a busy trip!

What do you have planned for the holiday weekend?

Mondays are definitely easier when it’s only a 3 day week! Have a great Thanksgiving.

No holidays for us Canadians – just another boring weekend. I’m actually going to try really hard not to get too jealous over all of the celebrations and delicious food that I’ve been seeing around the blog world. The next holiday dinner I have to look forward to is Christmas and that’s just way too far away!

Well it means a lot that you asked me to come and I’m very glad I bought that ticket on a whim today lol. Can’t wait! :)

That Panini looks AMAZING. Where did you go for lunch?

Wow–today was MUCH easier than a usual Monday by just knowing it was only going to be a three day work week. Love it.

Have a great time in Florida! My husband and I will be spending the day with my parents, who live about 45 minutes away. I’m looking forward to a relaxing day, catching up with the rents, and eating lots of my mom’s best thanksgiving dishes. :)

Roll Tide!!

I’ll be headed back to Ttown for the game also! I won’t be going in however – I’m sure you know how the student section can get, haha. But I’ll be watching at a bar with my cousin (LSU’s QB haha). Hope you have a great time at the game and a happy Thanksgiving!

Have fun at the game! I always get excited (and maybe a little sentimental) when I visit Clemson for a game. I’m sure you’ll have a blast!

BTW – that panini looks soooo good! I’m such a sandwich lover.
